EMOBILIS NOW APPROVED AS A CISCO NETWORKING ACADEMY!

Cisco
Large and Medium sized companies around the world are experiencing a shortage of qualified ICT candidates to fill a growing number of networking positions in virtually every industry. Computer Networking is a fast-growing, high- tech field that is targeted to continuous growth.

Educational institutions, businesses and industrial concerns are increasingly seeking highly talented people to install, configure and connect computers related equipment and to effectively manage these networked connections.

"At eMobilis we try and offer relevant, quality ICT courses to allow young people to take advantage of the demand in industry so that they can improve their livelihoods and opportunities in life. Cisco is certainly one of those programs and we are glad to be a Networking Academy training partner" noted Nancy Wanjira, a member of the management team.

Cisco Networking Academy is an innovative global education initiative that delivers information and communication technology skills to help meet this growing demand while improving career and educational opportunities for students around the world.
eMobilis has now been approved as a Local Cisco Networking Academy by Cisco Systems! This approval came in June 2015 after a thorough vetting process. To qualify as an academy an organization or University must show that it has high speed machines, is willing to invest in training equipment, is already an experienced training institution and many other qualifying factors. The Cisco Networking Academy Program is a comprehensive program that provides students with the Internet technology skills essential in a global economy. The Networking Academy delivers rich web-based content, online assessment, student performance tracking, hands-on labs, instructor training and support, and preparation for industry standard certifications.

Cisco Systems, Inc. is an American multinational technology company headquartered in San Jose, California, that designs, manufactures, and sells networking, VOIP, Telepresence and data center equipment. It was founded in 1984 by two employees in charge of Stanford University's Computer Science department. It became the most valuable company in the world in 2007 and has over 65,000 employees globally. In July 2014 it had a market cap of about US$129 billion. Cisco recently opened an Internet of Everything research centre in Toronto, Canada.

Established in 1997, the Networking Academy is Cisco's largest and longest-running Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. Cisco's Networking Academy has trained more than 4 million students to date. Many graduates have gone on to successful ICT careers in a variety of industries, while others have harnessed the entrepreneurial spirit and knowledge they acquired in Networking Academy to start their own businesses and create new jobs.

The computer networking curriculum is comprised of a sequence of four courses. Upon completion of the four-course sequence, trainees qualify to sit for the CISCO Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) examination.

CCNA certification denotes a foundation in, and apprentice knowledge of networking. CCNA certified professionals install, configure, and operate local area networks, wide area networks, and dial access services for small networks. This basically implies enabling computers in an office setting to "see" each other and communicate.

Others courses include CCNA Security and Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP).
